Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 3, 2026
Creme Holdings LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Qmon application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you and your child use Qmon. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a parent account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the information you choose to share through Apple Sign In. Parent accounts are assigned a unique family code (format QM-XXXX) to link child profiles.
Student Account Information
Student accounts require only a display name and age range. We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal contact information from children. Student accounts are linked to parent accounts via family codes.
Learning Data
As your child uses Qmon, we collect learning data including answers to practice problems, accuracy rates, time spent on problems, mastery levels across topics, XP earned, achievements unlocked, and streak information. This data powers the adaptive engine and parent dashboard.
Parent Dashboard Data
Parent accounts can view their linked children's learning progress, assign topics, generate worksheets, and view diagnostic reports. This data is derived from the learning data described above.
QLink Study Group Data
If a parent enables QLink Study Groups, we store study group names, invite codes, membership, messages, reports, blocks, and moderation status needed to operate the invite-only collaboration feature.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Power the adaptive engine that personalizes math instruction for each student
- Display learning progress, mastery levels, and diagnostic reports on the parent dashboard
- Track achievements, XP, streaks, and daily goals within the App
- Authenticate user accounts and maintain account security
- Generate worksheets and homework assignments requested by parents
- Operate parent-enabled QLink Study Groups, including message delivery, invite-only group membership, safety filtering, reports, blocks, and moderation status
- Improve the App's educational content and adaptive algorithms
- Respond to support inquiries from parents
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not display ads in the App.
3. Children's Privacy
Qmon is a student-first learning app with optional parent progress tracking. We take the following measures to protect children's privacy:
- We ask a parent or guardian to review and acknowledge Qmon's privacy practices before creating an account-linked profile for a child under 13
- We collect only the minimum information necessary for the App to function (display name, age range, and learning data)
- We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, photos, or location data from children
- The App contains no advertising and no external links accessible to children
- QLink Study Groups are parent-enabled, invite-only, and built without a public student directory or open search
- QLink messages are checked for off-platform contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, links, and social handles before sending
- Children interact only with educational content, the AI tutor Archie, and parent-enabled invite-only QLink study groups
- Parents can review and delete their child's data at any time through the parent dashboard or by contacting us
4. Data Storage and Security
Qmon uses a hybrid data storage approach designed for secure on-device learning and cloud-backed parent features:
- On-Device Storage: Learning progress, XP, and session data are stored locally on the iPad using Apple's SwiftData framework. This powers the in-session experience and preserves progress on the device.
- Cloud Authentication: Account authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, supporting both email/password and Sign in with Apple.
- Cloud Data: Account information, student profiles, learning progress, achievements, mastery, family linking information, and parent-enabled QLink Study Group data are synced securely to Google Cloud Firestore via our Vapor API hosted on Google Cloud Run. Cloud sync allows parents to view their child's progress on a separate device and preserves progress if an iPad is replaced.
All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data stored on our servers is encrypted at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of data.
5. Third-Party Services
Qmon uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication (Google): For secure user account creation and login. Firebase receives only the authentication credentials necessary to verify identity.
- Google Cloud Firestore (Google): For secure cloud storage of account information, student profiles, learning progress, achievements, family linking information, and parent-enabled QLink Study Group data.
- Google Cloud Run (Google): Hosts our Vapor API, which is the only service that talks to Firestore on the App's behalf. The API is gated by Firebase Authentication so only signed-in parents can read or write their own data.
- Apple StoreKit: For subscription management and payment processing. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is never shared with us.
- RevenueCat: Coordinates subscription state between Apple StoreKit and our servers. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and the subscription status only — no personal information, no learning data, no payment information.
- Vercel Analytics (website only): Aggregate page-view and performance metrics for qmon.app. Cookie-less and does not track users across sites. Loaded only after you accept analytics in the consent banner on qmon.app. Not used inside the iOS App.
- Google Analytics 4 (website only): Aggregate traffic and engagement metrics for qmon.app, configured with IP anonymization and no advertising or remarketing features. Loaded only after you accept analytics in the consent banner on qmon.app. Not used inside the iOS App.
The iOS App itself contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking. Inside the App, no learning data or personal information is ever shared with any third party beyond the essential services listed above. On the qmon.app website, Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics load only after you explicitly consent; if you reject the banner, neither service is contacted.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data may be preserved so your child can resume where they left off if you resubscribe.
You may request deletion of your account and linked student data at any time from the Parent Area in the app or by contacting us at privacy@qmon.app. When a deletion request is submitted, Qmon removes the parent account and associated cloud records from its active systems. On-device data stored via SwiftData can be cleared from Parent Settings or by deleting the App from your iPad.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was most recently revised. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
